Dr. Mia L. Johnson, LPC, LCDC, CSC
Dr. Mia L. Johnson is a successful psychotherapist, professor, public speaker and consultant. She is the founder of The Toolkit Project, PLLC. Dr. Johnson graduated from Texas Southern University with a Doctorate in Counseling Education. In addition, she is a licensed psychotherapist, licensed chemical dependency counselor, state board certified school counselor, state board certified school teacher, and a certified lead-trainer in the delivery of Cognitive Behavioral and Substance Abuse interventions.
Her clinical experience entails working with adolescents and adults with a concentration in dual diagnosis and addiction. Dr. Johnson has worked with clients in various settings such as schools, agencies, hospitals, and correctional facilities. She offers counseling to address depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. She provides training to licensed clinicians and certified educators to equip them with the necessary tools to service clients and students who have mental health issues, substance use issues, and Section 504 accommodations.
